Meru National Park Private Guided Safari Tour

Meru National Park is the home of many other animals as well, including cheetah, hippo, zebra, giraffe, hartebeest, oryx, oribi, waterbuck, … and abundant birdlife. Meru National Park is one of the best places in Kenya to see Rhinos in the wilderness. At last count, the fenced 83 sq km Rhino Sanctuary was home to 34 black and 70 white rhinos. The Park is especially associated with Elsa the Lioness and the film Born Free, a 1966 Technicolor British drama film starring Virginia McKenna and Bill Travers as Joy and George Adamson, a real-life couple who raised Elsa, an orphaned lion cub, to adulthood.

DAY: 1

Nairobi to Meru National park
You’ll get picked up
Meru National Park
Stop: 3 hours
Our Driver-guide will pick you from the airport or hotel at 7:00 am drive north to Meru National Park. You will be able to enjoy great views of Mt kenya region, with her fertile, Green vegetationy. You are set to arrive at your camp in time for lunch and afternnon relaxation. After some time at rest embark on your first Safari Game drive at 4:30 pm allowing you to see the wonderful creatures that populates the park. Brilliant on a magnificent scale, the Meru and Kora sister parks feature luxuriant jungle, coursing rivers, verdant swamp, khaki grasslands and gaunt termite cathedrals all under the sky’s great blue bowl. Little visited and utterly unspoiled, few places are comparable to the remote and rugged atmosphere found here. Visitors can see Grevy’s zebras, elephants, Bohor reedbucks, hartebeests, pythons, puff adders, cobras, buffalos and more than 427 recorded species of birds.Return to the camp by evening for dinner and overnight.

DAY2: Meru National park full day tour

Meru National Park
Stop: 7 hours
This is your full day with Nature. Enjoy your early morning breakfast and depart with packed lunch for full day tour. Meru National Park is famous for its lions. The Park is especially associated with Elsa the Lioness and the film Born Free, a 1966 Technicolor British drama film starring Virginia McKenna and Bill Travers as Joy and George Adamson, a real-life couple who raised Elsa, an orphaned lion cub, to adulthood. Elsa’s Grave is at the southern end of Meru National Park, off the southern bank of the Ura River. The Park is one of the best places in Kenya to see rhinos in the wilderness. At last count, the fenced 83 sq km Rhino Sanctuary was home to 34 black and 70 white rhinos. You will enjoy your packed lunch in the park. Continue with the game drives and later return to your camp for dinner and overnight

DAY3: Meru National park to Nairobi

Meru National Park
Stop: 6 hours
This is your last day in the safari. Enjoy your Breakfast and depart for Nairobi arriving late in the afternoon. This tour can also be customized to proceed to Olpejeta conservancy at a request.
