Overview
Climb Africa's highest peak via the scenic Machame Route, then transition to Tanzania's premier safari circuit — Tarangire's majestic baobabs, the endless Serengeti plains, and the world's largest intact caldera at Ngorongoro Crater.
Itinerary
Day 1: Machame Gate (1,800m) → Machame Hut (3,000m). Rainforest hike, 6–7 hrs.
Day 2: Machame → Shira Camp (3,840m). Moorland, 4–5 hrs.
Day 3: Acclimatization day to Lava Tower (4,600m), descend to Baranco (3,950m).
Day 4: Baranco Wall ascent to Karanga Valley (4,100m).
Day 5: Karanga to Barafu Hut (4,600m).
Day 6: Summit night — Stella Point to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), descend to Mweka Camp (3,200m).
Day 7: Descend to Mweka Gate, transfer to Arusha (own hotel this night).
Day 8: Drive to Tarangire NP, game drive among baobabs and elephant herds. Suricata Boma Lodge.
Day 9: Tarangire to Serengeti — game drives en route. Tanzania Bush Camps.
Day 10: Serengeti morning game drive, drive to Ngorongoro Crater rim. Ngorongoro Kuhama Camp.
Day 11: Ngorongoro Crater tour, return to Arusha.
